THE A-LIST 2020 X CHIVAS

CHIVAS MALAYSIA INVITED OUR A-LISTERS FOR A MASTERCLASS TO CRAFT THEIR PERSONAL, BESPOKE VERSION OF BLENDED WHISKY

THE #MYCHIVASBLEND SESSION led by Chivas brand ambassador Jasper Epsom, saw our A-List men come up with their own blended whisky concoctions.

The fun session, held in Botak Liquor saw guests arrive with their plus-ones for a fun and educational session on whisky blending.

The event had to be split into two sessions, seeing as how quite a number of the A-Listers were interested to attend the event ‒ which was held before Lockdown 2.0, and was of course SOP compliant.

Using various whisky ‘bases’ each of the guests for to craft their own #MyChivasBlend according to their preferred taste profile. With five bases to choose from: Floral, Fruity, Creamy, Citrus and Smoky.

To begin with, Jasper gave an insightful introduction to the world of blended whiskies, of which Chivas has been a dominant player. Then the A-Listers went through a flavour testing, having a dram of each of the five base whiskies.

During the course of the taste tests, delicious food was served by the team from Botak Liquor as well.

Once guests had sampled all five bases, that’s when they began crafting their #MyChivasBlend batches, which they were then happily allowed to take home in a small bottle. #MyChivasBlend was truly an immersive and entertaining lesson on blended whisky, agreed most of the A-List men and their plus ones.
