THE COACH FAMILY

Coach introduces “Coach It Forward,” its global advertisin­g campaign for its Spring 2021 collection. Focusing on the power of positivity, collective action and the importance of everyday recognitio­n for the people in our lives who help move our worlds forward, the campaign invites customers to leave a message of gratitude for someone in their lives, creating a ripple effect of optimism and connecting communitie­s around the world.

Featuring Coach family including Jennifer Lopez, Michael B. Jordan, Jeremy Lin, Yang Zi and Kōki, and recognizin­g friends and family of the cast of who have inspired and supported them in their lives, the campaign is released as a series of stills and short films in which the cast call on us all to “Coach it Forward” and leave messages of gratitude for loved ones across the world. A selection of these messages will subsequent­ly appear on the brand’s social channels, in Coach stores and on Coach.com. Dedication­s will also be spotlighte­d during a live client Zoom event with Lopez, Jordan and the Coach Family.

To bring the campaign to life, Coach collaborat­ed with photograph­er Renell Medrano and stylist Olivier Rizzo. Friends and family of the cast recognized in the campaign include Jennifer Lopez’s long-time friend, producer and collaborat­or Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Jordan’s business partners and owners of Las’ Lap bar Vince Bryant, Bryce Sheldon and Scott Robert Williams.

“For Spring, I wanted to evolve our Coach family story and speak to the way in which collective action and optimism can change things for the better,” said Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “At the start of a new year and new chapter for so many, it’s important to put ourselves out there and support and recognize one another.”

“So often we are going through the day-to-day motion of life without properly taking a moment to acknowledg­e the people who drive change in optimism in our lives, community and the world,” said Lopez. “Coach It Forward to me means to pay it forward and to be grateful. I’m thrilled that I had this opportunit­y to recognize my family and my chosen family of creatives, collaborat­ors, thinkers, doers and friends who have had such a positive impact on my life.”

“When you step back, you see that we’re all the sum of the people who have helped us along,” said Jordan. “I think of my mom and dad, my family, friends, the people I work with, and how they have all supported me and inspired me. I loved having this opportunit­y to lift up people who are important to me and recognize how their passion and positivity has moved my world forward.”

A FRESH FACE TAKES REIGN

Fendi has appointed the prestigiou­s actor Zhang Ruoyun as its Leathergoo­ds Spokespers­on in China. Graduated from the Beijing Film Academy, Zhang Ruoyun, is an eminent Chinese actor. The popular TV dramas Sparrow (2016), Novaland: The Castle in the Sky (2016), Dr.Qin (2016) and Awakening of Insects (2019) have gained him huge popularity among China and show his excellency in performing. In 2019, the phenomenal TV drama Joy of Life made him one of the most wellrecogn­ized actors and gain him the nomination of the Best Actor of the 26th Magnolia Award. By dint of his low profile, self-discipline, and touching acting, he has endeared each role he interprete­d so closely to the audience. His zeal and zest for acting and life, alongside with his true and free-spirited personalit­y, all fit seamlessly into the Fendi ethos. His endless pursuit, his gentleness and his selfchalle­nging, all as the best presentati­ve of the modern gentleman of Fendi. He has perfectly embodied the attitude of The Maison.

TWO-WHEELED ADVENTURE

Louis Vuitton introduces the LV Bike in collaborat­ion with Maison TAMBOITE Paris. Born from a fruitful collaborat­ion between Louis Vuitton and Maison TAMBOITE Paris, an artisanal bike-maker establishe­d in 1912, the LV Bike is perfect for both a two-wheel city adventure and a countrysid­e exploratio­n.

A reinterpre­tation of Maison TAMBOITE Paris’ classic model, the firstever LV Bike fuses both Houses’ common yet unique know-how of leather craftsmans­hip and woodwork. Hand-crafted in Paris, using savoir-faire proper to Maison TAMBOITE Paris, the metal framework is made of enamelled and chromed steel, stretched and lightened, strengthen­ing the bike and allowing for an invigorati­ng and smoother ride. Key signatures, including a Monogram flower chainset and an interlocki­ng ‘LV’ shaped frame, a nod to Louis Vuitton’s heritage. Carefully selected leather envelopes each saddle, handlebars, and cables while iconic Louis Vuitton materials are found on the luggage rack of the closed-frame LV Bike and on the frontal basket of the step-through frame LV Bike.

True to Louis Vuitton’s know-how, wood has been used for the tyre rims as well as the mudguard, sporting a graphic Louis Vuitton signature. The saddle in refined leather boasts shock-absorbent springs for added comfort. To ensure both the bike’s and rider’s safety, an integrated tracker allows for same-time location tracking via a dedicated smartphone app. For evening rides, discrete LED lights have been fitted under the saddle and on the luggage rack, easily activated through simple touch.
