Highlighting stories of locals who have fought their way through Covid-19

-

2020 was an unusual year to say the least. All the major events that happened can be summarised as an unprecedented year requiring special measures, along with new changes in mindset to cope and survive. It started with the COVID-19 coronavirus that quickly became a pandemic when countries all over the world were infected by the lethal virus, putting almost the entire globe in lockdown.

Words like Movement Control Order (MCO), contact tracing, SOPs and social distancing became household terms. Due to the deadly disease taking a toll on Malaysia’s economy, many Malaysians were left without a job or were told to pack up their things and leave because the companies simply could not afford to pay their paychecks. They were basically thrown into a deep pool, where they can either sink or swim̶and to swim is to look for ways to survive which in this case, it is to walk down a new career path. Under the #KitaJagaKita initiative,

August Man Malaysia proudly highlights these following stories of Malaysians who have fought their way through this storm in hopes that their experiences would encourage and inspire more Malaysians to stay strong and fight on.
