The new Pasha de Cartier collection brings elegance and versatility to all-round perfection
INTRODUCED IN 1985, Pasha de Cartier, with its distinctive codes, chained crown and bold, round design, has been a timepiece for the valorous, worldly-wise man and woman since its creation. Pierre Rainero, director of image, style and heritage at Cartier, describes the Pasha as “both an aesthetic and a feeling of strength and power. Moreover, when we launched it in 1985, it was immediately worn by an entire generation of opinion leaders. It has kept this strength.”
Successfully relaunched in 2020, Pasha de Cartier is now more sophisticated and versatile than ever in terms of watchmaking functions and design details, featuring interchangeable straps, sapphire case-back, a new crown and personalised engraving, all of which combine to strengthen and maximise its ergonomic appeal.
Its repertoire grows further in 2021 with two new key designs: a more masculine 41mm chronograph version and a more feminine 30mm version.
PASHA DE CARTIER 41MM CHRONOGRAPH
Made to measure records, the new Pasha de Cartier Chronograph boasts enhanced power and visibility. The sporty approach is accentuated by the presence of a rotating bezel and two push-pieces. Faithful to the historic version of the first Pasha chronographs, these two buttons, set with a cabochon, have kept the original design’s volume, a choice of both style and excess that is perfectly in line with the Pasha de Cartier spirit.
“The chronograph interpretation differs from a simple display to offer a daring aesthetic alternative. This latest addition to the Pasha family thus revives the myth in a new light,” said Marie-Laure Cérède, director of design for watchmaking at Cartier. This new chronograph version is equipped with a 1904-CH MC Cartier Manufacture movement and a sapphire case-back.
“SUCCESSFULLY RELAUNCHED IN 2020, PASHA DE CARTIER IS NOW MORE SOPHISTICATED AND VERSATILE THAN EVER IN TERMS OF WATCHMAKING FUNCTIONS AND DESIGN DETAILS, FEATURING INTERCHANGEABLE STRAPS, SAPPHIRE CASE-BACK, A NEW CROWN AND PERSONALISED ENGRAVING, ALL OF WHICH COMBINE TO STRENGTHEN AND MAXIMISE ITS ERGONOMIC APPEAL”
Available in steel or gold, the watch is equipped with an adaptation of the Cartier-developed QuickSwitch system, allowing customers to choose from a variety of strap options and enjoy a host of looks and styles. This invisible mechanism blends into an architecture located under the case and is activated by a single push. The metal bracelet can also be adjusted to the nearest link, without the need for tools, thanks to the SmartLink system.
PASHA DE CARTIER 30MM
A follow-up to the 35mm version launched in 2020, the new Pasha de Cartier is extra feminine with its 30mm diameter. Powered by a quartz movement, it contains all the signature details found on a Pasha watch: from personalised engraved initials hidden behind the crown cover to interchangeable straps. Offered in steel or gold, with or without diamonds, all these versions can be interchanged thanks to an adaptation of the Cartier-developed QuickSwitch system.
CARTIER CARE
All Pasha watch owners are invited to register their creation on the Cartier Care platform, which provides them with access to customised services and communications. Clients who register with Cartier Care and whose watch is still under warranty can also benefit from an international warranty extension of between two and eight years. This warranty includes a full service, water-resistance check, battery replacement and metal bracelet repair, according to the expiry dates determined by the Maison.
This exclusive gesture also comes with the possibility to personalise your Pasha de Cartier watch with an engraving in two different places. Either on the back of the case, or under the crown cover (with the exception of chronograph models), specific to the Pasha de Cartier watch, which opens to reveal a hidden and secret place where initials can be engraved.
Customers may also have the red box embossed and personalised with initials or a significant date in golden characters on the front of the case. To celebrate the launch of the latest interpretation of its iconic Pasha de Cartier in 2020, the Maison is offering a complementary full service to Pasha owners, regardless of the year their watch was created.
