Sony has once again revolutionised the headphones industry, introducing their latest gadget, the SRS-NB10 Wireless Neckband Speaker. Part headphones, part necklace, it is designed to rest on one’s shoulders̶while allowing consumers to take conference calls, listen to music and walk around in total comfort all day, without having to have it perched on top of their heads. The SRSNB10 is a lightweight and flexible band that features a full-range speaker unit that is aimed upwards so the sound is optimised for the user’s ears alone̶Sony even promises that everything that is played, even at low volumes will be heard, no matter how noisy it is. With passive radiators embedded at the back of the unit to help ensure the bass is heard and well-balanced. In addition to the speaker quality, it also features a special technology called the Precise Voice Pickup̶optimising the quality of the voice sent during conversations and conferences which includes minimising feedback and echo. Besides being comfortable and practical, it is also designed to reflect Sony’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its product and practices.
