MSGM’s Fall Winter 2021 season goes fully into what defines the coldest day of winter. Entitled Vertigine which translates to Vertigo in Italian̶it is a word that captures the dizzy sensation high altitudes can induce. However, it was also chosen by founder Massimo Giorgetti as a metaphor for what the world has been experiencing in their quarantined days̶it is an unsettling feeling of constantly being at a loss, almost to the point of falling off-balance, according to MSGM. The collection riffed on the winter sports repertoire, weaving between high-performance techno gear and retro-tinged sophistication. Inspired by the lessons of the great Italian mountaineers, MSGM draws on the passion that combines man and nature, adventure and sport̶which explains why the collection was abounded with ski jackets, destructed knit jumpers, color-blocked and padded parkas, tie-dye sweaters and denim, paired with relaxed trousers, loose short pants, baggy technical pants, vintage-like t-shirts, and fleeces.
