Given the nascent calamity, Givenchy, a timeless brand experienced in bringing its couture codes into beauty, took matters into its own hands.
With the level of skin hydration being the first to be impacted by psychological fatigue, Givenchy formulated a series of moisturising anti-stress treatment products to correct the harmful effects and rebalance the skin’s moisture content. BESPOKE SCENTS FOR YOU
After unveiling a series of extravagant items ranging from a bicycle, ping pong set to a yoga mat, Louis Vuitton has done it again̶ perpetuating the Art of Personalisation by announcing a bespoke Haute Perfumery service by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud for the scent lovers. The idea of this service started in his creative atelier located at Les Fontaines Parfumées in Grasse, which is known as the fragrance capital of France. It was also where the Master Perfumer conceived his most beautiful olfactive propositions for the French luxury house ever since 2012. Now deciding to take it a step further, he has opened his workshop to designing unique and personalised perfumes upon request.
“I wanted to offer our clients the possibility of wearing a unique fragrance, made in my creative workshop,” explains Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. “To me, this bespoke Haute Perfumery service represents the essence of the House, because ultra personalization has always been at the heart of Louis Vuitton.”
Each fragrance is crafted with much care, with a series of private consultations that will help build a relationship between the French perfume and the client̶creating a genuine and intimate knowledge of the customer’s tastes, memories, lifestyle and perfume habits. He will then start composing the one-of-a-kind scent, using some of the most exclusive raw materials sourced from the four corners of the globe at the house’s Les Fontaines Parfumées in Grasse. Lastly, calibrating each nuance down to the tiniest detail for an exceptionally made-to-measure composition. During the months of development, an accompanying trunk will simultaneously be made at the Maison’s workshop in Asnières.
THE PRECIOUS ESSENCE OF BERGAMOT
Acqua di Parma unveils a new Eau de Toilette in symphony with the rhythms of nature and man. Called Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura, the epicene fragrance is blended with bergamot obtained through an old and exquisite artisanal extraction technique.
The rare and precious essence of bergamot forms the heart of a rich, luminous fragrance that exudes a sense of vitality. At first whiff, your senses are awakened, and you feel as if transported to a field of bergamot. Notes of mandarin and orange bring out a succulent and citrusy tinge, while grapefruit exalts sour notes to balance out the fruity accents. The Mediterranean-native ferula exudes green, mineral tones, and floral traces of geranium wraps up the experience with an enrobing sweetness.
The scent is subtly androgynous and is suitable for those whose sense of self transcends gender. It has a nuanced olfactory pyramid that displays a rather structure, where the robustness of the bergamot is expanded in a surprising sensorial experience.
