Herry Chia Ee is a dedicated fashion photographer with nearly a decade milestone of working experience. Hearing-impaired since birth, it has not hindered him from capturing highquality images through instinctually determining every technical aspect of the perfect shot. This month, Herry contributes to our fashion spread with Mercedes-Benz —Entrepreneurial Etiquette (pg74).
Founded back in 2007, Eric Chow who runs Blink Studio is easily recognised and well-known for his boisterous laughter and his take on big hair. Eric has one simple belief that everyone is born beautiful in their own natural way and loves finding different ways of capturing each individual’s beauty and personality through his lenses. Eric contributed in shooting our cover personality, J.W. Sam (pg40).
Armed with 16 years of experience, Andrea Wong got her start in magazines, previously the Editor-in-Chief of Elle and the Fashion Editor of Harper’s Bazaar. Now, being her own boss has allowed her to do all the things that she loves, from styling magazine editorials, fashion campaigns and even Hollywood movies (Crazy Rich Asians) to giving styling talks and personal styling sessions. Grace Naramol made her first foray into publishing at August Man Malaysia as an intern. Upon completing her fashion design course, she decided to further develop her editorial skills and keen sense of style with the empowerment to explore a full spectrum of lifestyle interests and disciplines of the men’s luxury media network. Formerly a sales executive with an advertising agency, Tommi Chu has always harboured an ambition to delve into aesthetics and artistry. He finally took the plunge a decade ago by enrolling in a photography school before joining Blink Studio in 2012. This issue, Tommi shoots our feature —Start Up Frenzy (pg50).
An expert in maquillage, Joey Yap has been contributing for us since our launch in 2008, from fashion spreads to our Men of the Year specials. Her portfolio also encompasses weddings, events and artist such as MTV VJs, rock bands Neon Trees and 30 Seconds to Mars. This month Joey puts her skills to practice on our cover personality, J.W. Sam (pg40).
Xerxes Lee who hails from Kluang, found his calling in the photography industry seven years ago and boasts an allrounder portfolio. Armed with a knack for studio lighting, he utilises his skills to his advantage as he loves experimenting with various moods and angles for his shoot. Bold and fresh, his work reflects his versatility and you can see it in this issue’s watch spread — Elevate Your Style (pg84)
