Tatler Dining Malaysia

WHY GO

-

The term ‘sky dining’ lends itself a sound candidate in Marini’s on 57, with panoramic cityscape views forming the backdrop to an exquisite fine dining experience.

Start with the seppia, pisella e gambero rosso – slow-cooked squid with Sicilian red prawns stuffing, served with green peas puree and stracciatella cheese crémeux. The squid is delicate and tender, overseen by the moist prawn filling together with the green pea and cheese sauce.

Both the main courses are divine. The guancia di manzo (braised Wagyu beef cheek) features a nicely marbled cut that goes hand in glove with the creamy potato foam and bordelaise sauce. Alternatively, the agnello, rosmarino e verdure estive is a gorgeous roasted lamb loin dish that is eyepleasingly garnished with summer vegetables and rosemary cream sauce.

Don’t leave without trying the signature house tiramisu. The classic Italian dessert sports an espresso crust accompanying the Marsala wine mascarpone and Kahlua gelato, producing a light and balanced treat. Another great end choice is the tarte Tatin, satisfying in taste and charming in its presentation – one has to order this to truly appreciate it.
