and date dial that exposes the working parts underneath in an attractive way. The skeleton is coated in black with cutouts for appliqué rhodiumed indexes with Super-LumiNova red accents. There are three subdials: two for chrono in brushed steel and a small seconds in black. The rhodium-plated hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, while the chrono hands are in red.

The movement revealed beneath is a markedly reworked version of their Calibre 1887, which we have seen in TAG Heuer’s extremely popular Carrera range. The new Calibre Heuer 01 is destined to be just as popular, if not more so. The other plus is that the movement is a completely in-house manufactured chronograph with a red column wheel. The case is stainless steel and a complex work of 12 different components. It has all the right elements to give bigger rivals a run for their money.

There couldn’t be a more apt personality to represent TAG Heuer in the clubbing world than Europe’s hottest DJ, David Guetta. From Ibiza to Hong Kong, his music has entranced millions of clubbers around the world. He represents the new generation that is active, sporty and culturally discerning. The Formula 1 David Guetta is one watch that captures this EDM icon completely, with a GMT function to signify his global persona. The watch is almost all black but imbued with strong blue accents. The dial is black opaline with steel hand-polished appliqué hour indexes with blue Super-LumiNova. The hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated with blue Super-LumiNova, while the 24-hour GMT hands are coated in white Super-LumiNova. The blue and black aluminium bezel has 24-hour markings denoting both day and night.

The automatic mechanical movement is a Calibre 7, with GMT function. It is housed in a black steel case treated with titanium carbide that is water resistant to a depth of 200m. The watch comes with a leather strap and cuff. What are you waiting for, go get it! You can’t get a party watch that looks this good.

MONACO V4 PHANTOM When it debuted in 2004, the V4 was a game changer. No one imagined that TAG Heuer was capable of pushing the boundaries of haute horlogerie forward in such a bold way. It kick-started the development of avant-garde haute
