IT’S KUIH TIME
Dear Expatriate Lifestyle, Thank you so much for the feature on Malaysian kuih that you did this issue. I’ve been wondering what all the different types of cakes that I see at the market stalls were, but I didn’t dare try them because I had no idea what they would taste like and no way of figuring out how to search for them besides typing in ‘glutinous rice cake’ in Google, which could fit about a hundred different options.
Many of these kuih seem to use palm sugar, which I love. The next time I go to the market, I’m going to ask them for ondeh-ondeh. Beatrice Dawson
