Final Fantasy XV scheduled to receive gameplay updates and additional content in 2017.
You really shouldn’t have been rushing to complete Final Fantasy XV so soon, as director Hajime Tabata has mentioned on the Square Enix blog that a number of free updates will be released in 2017 to further improve the game. “We want you to enjoy Final Fantasy XV for a long time to come. We have been listening to your ideas on how to make the game experience even better, and so in addition to the previously announced content, we’ll be providing free updates to the game throughout the coming year,” said Tabata. These include gameplay updates, including one specifically for Chapter 13, which, according to numerous players, feels a little too ‘rushed’. There will also be ring magic buffs, new playable characters, customizable avatars, a New Game+ mode that will allow you to carry over character stats from a previous playthrough, and additional storyline content to create a more coherent plot.
“We’ll have the specifics of what and when for you at a later date,” said Tabata. Final Fantasy XV has been nothing short of a raving success since it launched worldwide on November 29, 2016. More than ve million copies of the game were shipped on day one itself, making it the fastest-selling game in the Final Fantasy franchise.
