5th J. Lindeberg Invitational
Another oversubscribed event organised by Transview Golf Sdn Bhd
Transview Golf Sdn Bhd recently held its annual J. Lindeberg Invitational, which is into its fifth year. Transview Golf, the exclusive distributor of the renowned Swedish brand J. Lindeberg since the fall of 2007 for South East Asia has been successfully using this event as a platform to create brand awareness for J. Lindeberg and it has proved effective as it is once again, an overly subscribed event.
“This journey with J. Lindeberg has been a long-standing one, coming to 10 years now. At that time when we knew of the brand, it was starting to make waves in men’s fashion & golf clothing in the United States and when the opportunity arose for Transview, we knew that this is the future of the 21st Century lifestyle golf apparel brand here in SEA hence the decision to sign up with J. Lindeberg. It had indeed proved to be a fruitful one, as until today it is still one of the top premium and most sought after brand for golf apparels,” said Frankie Choo, Director of Transview Golf Sdn Bhd.
“To reward our brand loyalists, we have kept to our signature compaign where our participants get to pick the latest J. Lindeberg design & models of golf shirt that they want, as compared to the traditional way of giving the same model of apparel across in our goodie bag. This is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal brand followers, which have also been a push factor of why our event is always fully subscribed,” added Choo.
To add a feather to the cap, participants of the J. Lindeberg Invitational had a surprise in store this time, in conjunction with J. Lindeberg being the Official Apparel of the CIMB Classic 2017 for the third year consecutively, winners will be offered spots to play in the Corporate Sponsors Game at the CIMB Classic. On top of that, one lucky winner can definitely look forward to an up close and personal experience playing with a PGA Professional, as a participant in the Pro Am Tournament of the CIMB Classic 2017. The much sought after slot was given out as the grand lucky draw prize of the evening.
Battling for those coveted spots at the award winning Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, participants played to a stroke play nett format where winning scores were capped to a maximum of five under (-5). Two medal categories were in contention, where top four (4) winners from Medal A (handicap 0-13) and Medal B (handicap 14-24) will be awarded with prizes.
Major Mohd Nasir (handicap 8) playing to a nett score of 67 clinched the Medal A Champion title whereas Rosli Bin Othman (handicap 16) with a nett score of 67 as well, took the Medal B Champion title, both winning the opportunity to play in the Corporate Sponsors Game come October at the CIMB Classic representing J. Lindeberg. The highlight of the evening went to Kek Kean Yong where he was the envy of many for being the winner of the grand lucky draw prize to play in the CIMB Classic Pro Am tournament.
