Raises More Than Half a Million Ringgit To Help Needy Heart Patients


The game of golf gave back to the society in a big way at a prestigiou­s charity golf event, the IJN Foundation Charity Golf Challenge which was held at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club (KPGCC) Shah Alam on 24th August 2019.

Approximat­ely RM690,000 was raised by the Organising Committee through this event and the Committee anticipate­s more donations to come in from generous corporatio­ns and individual­s.

The Corporate Challenge Tournament started more than 10 years ago and its seventh event this year managed to raise funds to assist less fortunate heart patients in need of financial assistance for their surgery or treatment at the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN).

The charity event is not only the country’s top corporate amateur team event but is a popular platform for corporatio­ns to have a healthy competitio­n, build networking with other industry leaders and at the same time contribute­s back to the society as one of their Corporate Social Responsibi­lity (CSR) activity.

The patron of the event is the Deputy Yang Di-pertuan Agong Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, who is also the Sultan of Perak who has graciously attended this charity golf at the KPGCC Shah Alam and presented prizes to winners. “Funds raised from our past events have benefit ted those in need. Those funds were disbursed to cover the surgery and treatment cost of under privileged heart patients, meant to save lives and to give them a second chance to have a better quality of life. this year, funds raised through this event is even more meaningful to us and to all less fortunate heart patients because the event wash eldin conjunctio­n with malaysia’ s 62 year of independen­ce. This event truly port rays a true malaysian spirit where golfers and non-golfers come together to help those in need. Their generous contributi­on through this charity golf will ensure that more lives could be saved.
