Golf Vacations (Malaysia)
JOURNAL The latest happenings in the golfing sphere, breaking down one of the greatest comebacks, and more.
A comeback like no other.
Adivorce, multiple injuries and surgeries and a DUI charge brought the once idolised athlete down to rock bottom.
Everyone out there was so sure that this was it for Tiger, with the idea of winning another major being nowhere in sight.
Fast forward to 14 April 2019, Augusta National. Tiger prowls the final round with pars on the first and second before a birdie on the third.
Then two bogeys followed on the fourth and fifth. But the Tiger is unshaken and follows up the act with back-to-back birdies on the seventh and eight, with a par at the ninth to close the first nine.
The magic begins with birdies on the 15th and 16th. He keeps his cool, sinking a par at the 17th.
With a two-shot lead, he putts in for bogey at the 18th, to sum up what is possibly the greatest comeback of all time by one of the greatest of all time.
