Bulgari’s exquisite Diva bedazzles in Portofino and Paris
Bulgari unveiled its incredible Diva collection of more than 200 creations including high jewellery masterpieces, watches, bags, and eyewear against the stunning backdrop of Abbazia La Cervara in Portofino, Italy. The crystalline blue waters perfectly reflected the alluring kaleidoscope of the rarest coloured gems, inspired by glamorous screen sirens of the ’50s and ’60s, such as Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly, Ava Gardner, and Elizabeth Taylor.
Gracing the presentation with her presence was former first lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the luxury jeweller’s muse and new face. “Bulgari is for me the symbol of passion, and of this vivid and colourful Roman gaiety,” said Bruni-Sarkozy, who was recently photographed in the most exquisite pieces by Terry Richardson for the brand’s latest campaign. “In a way, this fine jewellery house is already familiar to me. I feel connected with its romantic history and with its Italian soul, which breathes life and joy. I sincerely hope to honour it.” Marking the veteran supermodel’s first time with a jewellery brand, the haute joaillerie collection and its campaign was designed as a modern take on Roman Dolce Vita hedonism, fusing contemporary elegance with classic heritage.
The celebrations continued with a fabulous soirée at Paris’s Hotel Potocki, where fashion insiders and celebrities the likes of Bradley Cooper, Virginie Ledoyen, and Milla Jovovich were treated to Alexa Chung’s DJ skills. But it was Bruni-Sarkozy who stole the show in a Forever Glamour necklace featuring a 43-carat sapphire. “She is an independent, very cultivated woman who is an artist in her own right,” said Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.
