Hot House BLOOMS
Guests were presented a Bulgari Omnia Crystalline fragrance Natasha Kraal, Lynette Ow, and Teh Chai Peng “Jewellery is more intimate than anything else,” Carla BruniSarkozy, former first lady of France and face of Bulgari’s new jewellery collection, Diva, says. “Physically intimate as it adorns the body, often close to where the heart is beating. But more intimate for its significance in the world of feelings; it touches matters of the soul and always has a story to tell.”
With that, amid the vibrant blossoms of The Orchid Conservatory at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, BAZAAR and Bulgari co-hosted an intimate Power Lunch to preview the Diva Collection, where the vibrant jewellery and lush crocodile bags radiated sophistication of a higher calling.
Familiar faces in attendance included BAZAAR stylish women Angela Karto, Datin Esmila Saruji, Nora Khalid, Lynette Ow, and Kim Raymond, all of whom brought their trademark pizzazz to the event.
Joining the ladies for the afternoon were Bulgari senior communications manager, Fiona Manini, who introduced two key looks from the new collection. The first was an ornate floral set that brilliantly highlighted the legendary heritage of the brand. The second was a most stunning set gloriously encrusted with coloured precious stones, Bulgari’s signature rainbow of decadence. Adding even more light and sparkle to the sunny day, it was easy to imagine both looks on actresses the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Ava Gardner.
Just before they took a closer look at the magnificent pieces, guests feasted on succulent prime Angus rib with Yorkshire pudding and roast Atlantic cod, with English trifle and petit fours for dessert. Ultimately, of course, Omnia Crystalline fragrances made for the perfect ending to this jewel-toned Friday afternoon.
