OBJECTS OF DESIRE

-

BOTTEGA VENETA HOME HIGHLIGHT: The Italian label’s lighting category sees three new styles of bronze chandeliers, created in collaboration with jewellery designer Osanna Visconti di Modrone. KEEPING IT REAL: A lost-wax technique is used to echo the signature intrecciato wave, presenting an elegant design for a timeless home.

ARMANI/CASA DEFINING ELEMENTS: Taking cue from the urban and the natural, Armani/Casa references mysterious gardens through shades of red, indigo, and petrol green.

NEW IDEAS: Wood and plexiglass are combined for a mixture of warmth and cool transparency, where the visual lightness of the plexiglass contrasts with the solidity of the furniture, as seen in the Net coffee table.

“If architecture is for creating impactful solutions that arrange spaces with symmetry, my job is to bring them to life using my aesthetic awareness.” – Giorgio Armani

BULGARI STARCHITECT: Bulgari’s visual paradise at the Brera Design District during Salone del Mobile 2018 was conceived by icons Iván Navarro & Courtney Smith, MVRDV, and Storage Associati.

COOL FACTOR: Designed to resemble a labyrinth of neon lights, colours, and mirrors, the theme is Bulgari’s essence of design—deconstruct and reconstruct. Case in point: the Serpenti pattern was broken down and made into a threedimensional space where jewellery met architecture.
