With a nod to musician Jimi Hendrix, rich 18th-century-inspired Indienne fabrics were given a 3-D effect via “vermicelli” embroideries, before being transformed into masculine coats. On the runway, the piece was thrown over a single-breasted suit, and accessorised further with a guitar strap and baker boy hat, reminiscent of the ’60s beatniks.
