NALA

-

A touch of Malaysia ... The fabric in the Nala pink ribbon is called Parrots Please, and is inspired by the embroidery found on Peranakan wedding gowns. On the top ... As an entrepreneur, with every hurdle, I tell myself that “it must be good for something” and “how would I do it differently next time”. My positivity lies in seeking the little things in life, like spending time with my daughter, chancing upon a beautiful flower, being inspired by the multicolours in India, sipping on a glass of wine ... The female identity ... The motherof-pearl button adds a touch of nature and reminds everyone that they’re all beautifully unique. Just like the pearl button, there isn’t two of the same. The bird prints on the ribbon symbolise freedom of speech, that women can still speak their mind, despite their vulnerabilities. – Lisette Scheers
