The A-List

Malaysian fashion designer Kit Woo shares his favourites this season. 1 This is what “expensive” smells like. Why not fake it till you make it? 2 Rei Kawakubo embodies the Surrealist designer. If I die young, please dress me in this Comme des Garçons Homme Plus deconstructed blazer. 3 Juun.J’s Autumn/Winter ’18 collection is what I love about the designer’s ability to appropriate tailoring in your casual Friday work attire. Conceptual, but make it fashion. And that extra puffy neck brace for your naps during your commute? Yes, ma’am. 4 Art museums can inspire in many ways, and my favourite is the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Witnessing the artworks in person has definitely impacted me, and still inspires me in my field of design. 5 I don’t mind an ugly pair of sneakers, but there’s a limit—sorry, Vetements. This Adidas x Raf Simons Detroit Runner is what you need to conquer the city from day to night. 6 John Chamberlain’s Daddy in the Dark sculpture inspired my senior collection during my time at Pratt Institute in New York. It was a surreal moment when I got to see it in the Dia:Beacon museum. 7 I appreciate a good pair of mid-to-3/4length trousers with wide leg opening, like this Craig Green side knot bermuda shorts. Pair it with black over-the-calf socks to complete your Hattori Hanzō moment. 8 I switch up my earring game whenever I attend parties. Vivienne Westwood is always there to help me look my finest self. I’m like Cinderella in these earrings, but more “fella” instead of “rella”. 9 When I wear make-up, I want something that has the coverage to conceal everyone’s bad attitude ... as well as mine. This fullcoverage foundation has the staying power that will last you well above 15 hours. Mrs Lauder did that, girl. 10 I have a collection of CDG wallets, and my current obsession is this Mirror Inside series. @kitwoo
