A three-hour road trip to the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia would tire most, but everyone aboard the Sephora charter—including Harper’s BAZAAR Malaysia’s Most Stylish Women Fyza Kadir and Amanda Chaang—were in high spirits, eagerly anticipating the beauty staycation to come. Upon arrival, giant black-and-white striped Sephora boxes greeted us beachside, setting the tone for the launch of the Magical Holiday collection. Absolute treat ... As we started our #WishYouWereHere Insta-posts, lotions and potions were already beautifully laid out alongside sparkles in every hue, waiting for us in our rooms—a preview of the Sephora Collection Magical Holiday treats, and more. Created for the beauty enthusiast who likes to sparkle, the Magical Holiday collection’s multipurpose palettes, power-packed skincare, and extravagant glitter vials, are the gifts that keep on giving. First on the agenda ... The glistening waters by the resort beckoned, and provided the backdrop for many picture-perfect moments. A little spritz of the Holographic Effect Spray over the hair and body gave that highly on-trend sparkle that had me both beachready and party-primed. I hit the share button on Instagram, and watched as the likes came rolling in. As the sun sets ... It’s time to get prepped for the Sephora Magical Holiday dinner. The rich shades from the Midnight Wishes palette complement the red-andgold décor of the evening, while the three-in-one Moon Phases Face and Cheek Palette is a dream to work with—sculpting and highlighting to perfection is an effortless affair. The Glitter Pots seal the deal and add that extra sparkle, jazzing up any party look. At the party, bold lips and glittery eyes abound, as the girls danced the night away while their make-up stayed intact, allowing for flawless snaps and #NoFilter Insta-stories throughout the night. The morning after ... I half-expected to see dark circles and fatigued faces at breakfast the next day, yet everyone appeared fresh-faced and ready for the day. Something tells me the Sephora party survival kit of Golden Face Masks and Bath Crystals Set given the night before might have had something to do with it. If this is how the beauty squad combats the holiday season, colour me, holographically, impressed.
