Louis Vuitton master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud creates the house’s third oriental fragrance inspired by the exceptional elements of the Middle East with Nuit de Feu. “Through its very dense, white smoke, man has communed with the gods for millennia,” says Belletrud in reference to incense being the backbone of this composition. “It is transcultural and sacred in several religions.” Black incense defines the perfume’s personality with warmth and sensuality, while Assam oud gives it a woody depth. “I wanted to create a perfume that reconnects us with nature and our collective history.” Nuit de Feu will be pre-launched in all Malaysian Louis Vuitton boutiques on May 7 ahead of its global launch in August 2020.
