SEEING SPOTS
Queen of dots, nets, and pumpkins, Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s art captivates millions all over the world. Mucciaccia Gallery in Singapore presents a highly curated selection of her paintings and work on paper from 1951 to 1981. Kusama once said, “In the universe, there is the sun, the moon, the Earth, and hundreds of millions of stars.” In turn, that inspires her to portray her life as a dot among thousands of others. She associates polka dots with the sun and moon for its similar shape—with the sun representing energy, and the moon, tranquillity. Featuring her trademark Infinity polka dots paintings, the exhibition is running for three months from March 27. www.mucciaccia.com
