t began in 1937, a time when water-resistance became the coveted criterion for wristwatches. Longines had heed the call of this very requirement by developing its own watch case with water-resistant push-pieces for its 13ZN caliber.
That moment hourglass began its foray into diving watches, expanding its already impressive heritage with new timepieces that are elegance personified in terms of design as well as performance.
Fast forward 70 years later, the Swiss watchmaker released the Longines Legend Diver watches in 2007, a line that continued to grow over the years and is now regarded as a key heritage piece representative of every Longines design tenet. And now it returns anew, proposed in two new sophisticated colours to delight men and women alike, with steel versions in brown and in blue.
The spirit and clean lines of the original Longines Legend Diver model remains, now energised with additional technical touches, in particular a box-shaped sapphire glass, two screw-in crowns and a screw-down case back on the 42 mm case. As for ist diving capabilities, the watch is waterresistant to 300 metres, or is powered by an automatic movement with a silicon spring balance, made exclusively for Longines. For greater clarity at darker depths, hands are luminous while hour markers are interspersed between luminescent squares and Arab numerals enhanced with Super-LumiNova® rectangles. Leather straps echo the colour of the model to round up the the watches elegance and finesse.
The Longines Legend Diver carries a warranty of up to five years. Each of the brown or blue model of the Longines Legend Diver retails for RM9,900.
