HER WORLD WOMEN AWARDS 2017
Every year, we honour women innovators and heroes who put in the extra effort to contribute wholeheartedly to the community. This year, we celebrated the most important thing to us all: family. Two women, in particular, stood out to us in the way they've taken matters into their own hands to make the world a better place. Dr Hartini Zainudin, a child activist and co-founder of Yayasan Chow Kit, was awarded the Her World Woman Award – in recognition of her tireless will to give marginalised kids a brighter future. The Young Achiever Award was given to Mastura Rashid, who spearheaded The Nasi Lemak Project, a platform for urban poor families to raise their standard of living by selling delicious homemade nasi lemak.
