Today’s teens are future leaders. They’re assets in the development of the country, and yet they’re easily distracted by various social problems. To be honest, teens in our country have not experienced the paradigm shift that’s in line with our nation’s current development. Among the social tensions they experience is the negative influence of their peers. For example: vandalism, gangsterism, loitering (lepak), and drug abuse. These adolescents will fall out of the foundation of the country’s development and cause our economy to deteriorate. Therefore, every teen in our country should choose good friends and make a positive impact on one another’s lives – a good friend should inspire and encourage. Teens of a high calibre can empower our nation and bring us glory. So be wise in choosing friends not just for your own good, but also for your family and country.
