Why? The country has since fallen from the ranks of best country in the world for women, but it’s still in the running as one of the better countries. Thanks to Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (an outspoken feminist), the country has pledged $650 million to be invested over a three-year time frame in reproductive rights and health around the world. The money will be used to fund projects that provide sex education, prevent sexual violence, female genital mutilation, and women’s rights.
