SIU THENG: WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME AN ACTRESS?
Intan Serah: “I like singing, a lot, and I’ve made a few videos that involved acting. So why not try it for real!”
ST: ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR PERFORMANCE IN THE MOVIE?
IS: “I’m happy. It was a bit tiring but I got to learn a lot from this experience.”
ST: WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU DYING TO WORK ON IN THE FUTURE?
IS: “I look forward to acting as someone who is different from me, personality-wise. And I wish to work with other great directors, so I can learn from everyone in the industry.”
ST: DOES THIS CHARACTER RESEMBLE YOU?
IS: “Very much, as Fifi also plays futsal. But she is a bit more girlish than I am [laughs].
ST: WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THIS CHARACTER?
IS: “She’s always cheerful and very much like me in some ways. #ilovefifi”
ST: WHAT DO YOU HATE ABOUT HER?
IS: “I hate the fact that she has a broken family.”
ST: WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE WHEN TAKING ON THIS ROLE?
IS: “It was my first time acting in a movie and I needed to adapt quickly during shoots. Also, having to make some eye contact and sync with Momok.”
ST: WHAT DID YOU DO WHEN YOU FELT UPSET ON SET?
IS: “I stayed patient and didn’t let my feelings affect me. But, I’m never upset on set [laughs]! #fifiisverycheerful”
ST: WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU’D KNOWN BEFORE ACCEPTING THIS ROLE?
IS: “I guess that would be the long filming hours, which I didn’t see coming. Because of that, I struggled between juggling my filming schedule and futsal training.”
ST: WHY DO YOU THINK SO MANY ASPIRING ACTORS END UP GIVING UP ON THEIR DREAM?
IS: “I think most of them decided to focus on their family, as acting takes up a lot of your time.”
