Caring for your mattress

Take care of your mattress and it should last you at least a decade. Harvey Norman has some pointers.

TRY NOT TO SIT ON THE EDGE OF THE MATTRESS

The lopsided pressure will cause changes to the mattress’ shape and comfort.

Don’t use cleaning chemicals that might damage the fabric and underlying materials. Vacuuming is a safer way to keep your mattress clean. In case of a stain, blotting – not rubbing – it with mild soap and cold water is your best option. Also, never brush your mattress with any stiff fibre or metal brush as they will destroy the fabric.

CLEAN IT GENTLY

TURN IT REGULARLY

Turning and rotating the mattress will prevent dips and unevenness and help extend its lifespan. Even if the mattress doesn’t need to be turned or rotated, doing so is still a good practice.
