It’s all fun and games at parties, or at least it should be! While many dinner parties include conversation and chatting amongst old friends, it’s a good idea to make sure you’ve got some activities in store when you’ve run out of things to talk about. Board games are a great way to have some fun, so keep around a stash of them. Otherwise, why not whip out the controller and have a go or two at your favourite video game on your favourite console? use them in salads or sandwiches. Just shred it up and toss with your favourite assortment of salad leaves and a hot, sour, and spicy dressing to help cut the celebratory excess of the season. Practice the fine, yet satisfying art of cooking from leftovers. Make stir fries from bits and pieces of leftover vegetables, or gratin from roasted potatoes and the remains of your cheese platter. Simmer a huge stockpot of flavourful stock from leftover meat bones. With some imagination, culinary know-how, and inspiration from your favourite chefs, all leftovers can be turned into a feast of some sort. So think twice before you throw anything out this season!
