Ital­ian fash­ion house Bot­tega Veneta’s in­trec­ciato pat­tern is rein­ter­preted in metal on a stun­ning ta­ble.

Known for its un­der­stated and el­e­gant pieces, Ital­ian fash­ion house Bot­tega Veneta needs no other identifier than its in­trec­ciato pat­tern. Launched at the Mi­lan fair last year, the OVM couch ta­ble is a per­fect rep­re­sen­ta­tion of this. Its bronze body is skele­tal and modest, while the table­top bears an im­pec­ca­ble re­sem­blance to Bot­tega Veneta’s sig­na­ture weaved leather pat­tern.

TRIVIA

“Bot­tega Veneta” means Vene­tian shop in Ital­ian. The lux­ury brand was founded in 1966, and was one of the few la­bels whose items did not – and still don’t – bear a logo. Bot­tega Veneta has a ded­i­cated fur­ni­ture ate­lier in Vi­cenza, in the Veneto re­gion of Italy where it is from.

The ta­ble is en­tirely hand­made, hence the organic and beau­ti­fully im­per­fect sil­hou­ette. It is available in three sizes: couch ta­ble, medium and large. The struc­ture and pat­terns are made us­ing the lost-wax cast­ing method, which re­quires molten bronze...
