Chef David Caral is mak­ing the most de­li­cious waves in Kuala Lumpur! A Na­tive of Barcelona, Spain, the good chef is known as the only chef lo­cally to pro­vide au­then­tic Span­ish Cui­sine un­der the ban­ner of Mer­cat Barcelona Gas­tro­bar. With ex­pe­ri­ence a-plenty un­der­belt, Chef David has worked with Miche­lin-starred chefs the likes of Sergi Arola (of LAB) and Nobu Mat­suhisa (of Nobu), and worl­drenowned es­tab­lish­ments Ritz Carl­ton, Sher­a­ton, and Har­rod’s to name a few.

Mer­cat Barcelona Gas­tro­bar is Chef David’s bid at a dy­namic and con­vivial din­ing scene rem­i­nis­cent of tapas bars in the thriv­ing Barcelona sur­rounds. His cui­sine is in­spired by tra­di­tional recipes, ap­proached with a con­tem­po­rary twist while never los­ing sight of Cata­lan cul­ture and his­tory.
