As with cake, just about any fruit is good to go in a pie as a fill­ing. De­pend­ing on what your taste­buds are crav­ing, you can go with some­thing tra­di­tional like ap­ple, but jazz it up with a hint of some­thing new like rose­wa­ter, or the req­ui­site warmth of cin­na­mon spice. Other de­light­ful op­tions in­clude dairy and cream, cit­rus curds, frangipane fill­ing, or even whole caramelise­d nuts! If you’re feel­ing par­tic­u­larly ad­ven­tur­ous, you can even play around with a com­bi­na­tion of fill­ings!
