JAPANESE TECHNIQUE

Home & Decor (Malaysia) - - NEWS -

The Kintsugi rug from Illulian takes its name and technique from the ancient Japanese art of repairing objects with the insertion of gold or precious metals. The process ennobles and enhances the fragments which help add precious character to the product. Following the art form, the ‘cracks’ of the carpet are filled with liquid gold, creating a profound visual impact. Coupled with a fascinating and unconventional pattern, the Kintsugi stands out with its strong expressive power.
