MII Graduation 2017
KUALA LUMPUR, 23 August 2017 – The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) celebrated 351 of its local and international graduates at its graduation ceremony held on August 23 at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur.
Gracing the event to present the certificates to the graduates was MII Chairman Hashim Harun.
MII held its first graduation ceremony in 1999, to-date has produced 1,872 Diploma of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (DMII) graduates, 1,623 Associateship of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (AMII) graduates, 1,878 Certificate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (CMII) graduates and the second batch of 20 graduates for the Fellowship of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII) this year.
MII has so far produced 350 graduates who have completed the AMII, DMII and CMII from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles and Thailand.
The ceremony represents the formal recognition of academic achievements and marks an important culmination of the hard work and sacrifices for those who have successfully
completed any one of the following programmes from 2016 to 2017:
Fellowship of the Malaysian Insurance Institute
Associateship of the Malaysian Insurance Institute
Diploma of the Malaysian Insurance Institute
Certificate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute
“Significant changes must be made to elevate the performance standards in the Malaysian insurance industry in line with the global advances in order to narrow the gap between the Malaysian insurers with established international best practices and performance standards,” said Hashim in his address to the graduates.
“In the process of elevating the performance standards of professionals in the industry, MII is committed to be the educational partner for the insurance industry.
“With professional examinations, qualifying assessments and applied training programs offered by MII, we are in a solid position to be the go-to centre for all your insurance education needs.”
