Datin Winnie Loo

Building an empire from the ground up is no easy feat yet Datin Winnie Loo has managed to do so with her renowned hair salon, A Cut Above. This hairstylis­t extraordin­aire is a recipient of numerous accolades including Malaysia Tatler’s Master of Her Craft. She has gone through many challenges but remains successful due to her strong will and the support of husband, Dato’ Richard Teo. She is a proud mother of two young adults who would one day take after her great business sense.

Kington Tong

Making up one third of the successful law firm Kington, Tan & Dzul, this amiable lawyer prefers to unwind with speedinduc­ed activities, fast cars included. A King’s College alumni member in the UK, his solid background, lively and charismati­c personalit­y together with steely determinat­ion to deliver results have worked in his favour thus allowing him to achieve success in and out of the court room. Married to Faith Tong, the couple has two children to enliven their lives with.

Yohan Rajan

A lover of fine arts and a corporate lawyer by trade, Yohan Rajan and his wife Lim Wei-Ling are social mainstays who grace many important social soirees. The senior partner and head of corporate law at a leading local law firm always shows steadfast support for his wife and their shared art businesses. He travels extensivel­y for both work and leisure, attending internatio­nal art fairs whenever possible to keep abreast with what’s happening in the world of arts.

Captain Wee Eng Lee

A well-known pilot and the better half of Dato’ Rosemarie Wee, he has been an inspiratio­n to their two sons, Justin and Julian, who look up to his many aviation accolades and followed in his footsteps. He began his aviation career with the Royal Malaysian Air Force before moving on to work with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Department of Civil Aviation, Malaysia Airlines, China Airlines and AirAsia. He is now a flight simulator instructor for the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence.

Dato’ Allen Tan

Although golf has a special place in his heart, he is first and foremost an acclaimed individual in the banking industry. He holds high-level positions in two companies – the chairman and managing partner of Expense Reduction Analysts Malaysia and the executive chairman of Niju Corporatio­n. His benevolent qualities ensure that while he works hard to achieve success, he tries to do whatever necessary to help uplift the living standard and welfare of people in the country.

Yap Teak Sing

An award-winning architect with an undeniable panache for good design, he has transforme­d his company YTS Architectu­re Sdn Bhd into a powerhouse on both the local and internatio­nal architectu­ral stage. Possessing terrific etiquette, he is also a dedicated and loving husband to his wife, Shawna. He is a huge fan of photograph­y, having taken pictures of modern and historical Malaysian buildings in the past that eventually served as the catalyst to his path on becoming an architect.

Professor Dr Teo Soo-Hwang

This warm-hearted professor is a dedicated scientist and the CEO of non-profit cancer research organisati­on CARIF, the first of its kind in Malaysia when it launched in 2002. She spends a large part of her time identifyin­g and researchin­g areas in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. This mother of two considers herself extremely lucky to be where she is today. Her positivity and determined focus are two of her hallmarks.

Dato’ Zuraidah Atan

Helming her own legal firm, Chambers of Zuraidah Atan for over a decade, this industriou­s lady also sits on the board of many significan­t organisati­ons throughout the nation. Of all her many achievemen­ts, acting as the first female independen­t director on the board of HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad is definitely on the top of her list. She also serves as a strong supporter and an honorary advisor to the National Cancer Society of Malaysia, providing support whenever possible.
