Datin Jen­nifer Choon

As the other half to Dato’ Ed­die Choon, Datin Jen­nifer is both a lov­ing wife to her hus­band and the head of trea­sury and fi­nance at Poh Kong Hold­ings. Apart from groom­ing their chil­dren to take over the fam­ily busi­ness one day, she also helps to over­see the 94 Poh Kong out­lets spread through­out Malaysia.

Dato’ John Chua

Tile ty­coon Dato’ John Chua man­ages Kim Hin In­dus­try and has suc­cess­fully ex­panded it to in­ter­na­tional wa­ters. This feat did not go un­recog­nised, as the com­pany was re­cently be­stowed the Ma­trade Ex­port Award 2018 in recog­ni­tion of the es­tab­lish­ment’s con­tri­bu­tions to the na­tion’s ex­ports.

Car­men Chua

The CEO of One IFC hopes to raise the bench­mark of the Malaysian real es­tate tourism in­dus­try. Among Car­men’s achieve­ments are the es­tab­lish­ment of the St Regis Kuala Lumpur, along with its ex­pan­sive ho­tel rooms and the world’s first LED dig­i­tal can­vas screen in the grand ball­room.

Kent Chua

Rhom­bus Con­nex­ion’s co-founder has suc­cess­fully evolved the group into an F&B en­tre­pre­neur plat­form—one that boasts 19 brands and 51 out­lets across four na­tions. His proud­est achieve­ment is es­tab­lish­ing the Hap­pi­ness Of­fice, which serves as the guid­ing prin­ci­ple and foun­da­tion of the cor­po­ra­tion.

Carmey Chua

Though a math­e­ma­ti­cian by train­ing, Carmey sits on the board of var­i­ous com­pa­nies un­der CMY Cap­i­tal. She played a piv­otal role along­side her sis­ter Car­men, as both worked to suc­cess­fully build St Regis Kuala Lumpur. She also has a keen eye and ap­pre­ci­a­tion for art, which she in­her­ited from her mother.

Dato’ Ding Pei Chai

Dato’ Ding is the found­ing mem­ber, ex­ec­u­tive- and man­ag­ing di­rec­tor plus nonex­ec­u­tive chair­man of DKLS In­dus­tries. Cur­rently also serv­ing as the ex­ec­u­tive chair­man of Isy­oda Cor­po­ra­tion, he has more than 36 il­lus­tri­ous years of ex­pe­ri­ence in deal­ing with en­gi­neer­ing projects.

Datuk Seri Garry Chua

The founder and group ex­ec­u­tive chair­man of ROTOL Group dou­bles as pres­i­dent of the Malaysia Re­tail Chain As­so­ci­a­tion (MRCA). While se­cur­ing ma­jor projects and con­tracts plus in­tro­duc­ing in­no­va­tions, he in­tends to over­see a 30 per cent growth in the re­tail fran­chise in­dus­try by 2020.

Datuk Ni­col David

The first to win eight World Open squash cham­pi­onships, Datuk Ni­col is the only Asian thus far to re­ceive the Tour­na­ment of Cham­pi­ons Women’s Lead­er­ship Award, and the first re­cip­i­ent of the Or­der of Merit. Awards aside, she is also Malaysia’s UN De­vel­op­ment Pro­gramme Good­will Am­bas­sador.

Over­see­ing a rich port­fo­lio of premium wines, spir­its and cham­pagne brands, he em­pow­ers his team with en­trepreneur­ship, and be­lieves in the power of brand build­ing.

Esha Geneid

So­ci­ety favourite Esha Geneid is one to be seen at the hottest and most ex­clu­sive of events in town, of­ten wear­ing the most fash­ion-for­ward of de­signer wear and end­ing up on best­dressed lists. She and hus­band Joseph Afaki work hard to en­sure their three chil­dren have a nor­mal, bal­anced child­hood.

Dza­meer Dzulk­i­fli

Teach For Malaysia’s man­ag­ing di­rec­tor has se­cured 75 new fel­lows to join its eighth co­hort, round­ing it to 425 fel­lows and alumni in to­tal. Re­cently, the group has come to an agree­ment with the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion to deepen TFM’s im­pact in the high-need dis­tricts of Klang, Pasir Gu­dang and Sem­porna.

Ewan Saufi Abas

Kumpu­lan Parabena’s con­struc­tion sub­sidiary’s chief fi­nance of­fi­cer man­ages his own busi­nesses and in­vest­ments in East Malaysia, while still find­ing time to cy­cle and ex­plore new places that serve great cof­fee. To­gether with his wife Mariam Teh, they are proud par­ents to three young boys.

Elyna Ef­fendi

Se­rial en­tre­pre­neur Elyna spends her time and en­ergy on her two com­pa­nies, FE2 Pro­duc­tions and her lat­est busi­ness ven­ture Serendip­ity Asia, a con­tent de­sign and dig­i­tal me­dia cre­ative com­pany. Ezra Zaid

Of­ten heard com­ment­ing on in­ter­na­tional and lo­cal is­sues on the ra­dio, he also hosts doc­u­men­taries for the His­tory Chan­nel, in ad­di­tion to be­ing an au­thor as well as di­rec­tor of ZI Pub­li­ca­tions.

Er­win Az­izi

Un­der­tak­ing a landed res­i­den­tial prop­erty de­vel­op­ment is one area that the CEO of Mid­west Eq­uity and man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Noble Gold is fo­cus­ing on these days. How­ever, de­spite be­ing busy, Er­win fre­quently or­gan­ises drives to Thai­land, Laos and Myan­mar with his car club, the Blue Jack­ets So­ci­ety.

Through the suc­cess of lo­cal fash­ion hub Fash­ionValet and beauty brand dUCk, CEO Dato’ Fadzarudin is cel­e­brated in the startup com­mu­nity for his sharp busi­ness acu­men. He and wife Datin Vivy Yu­sof had an event­ful 2018, hav­ing moved to a new, big­ger of­fice and cel­e­brated the birth of their third child.
