Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa in Langkawi presents the new LaVilla Poolclub & Restaurant
Stepping into the inviting Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa in Langkawi, our moods were positively lifted as every detail of the elegant resort-style setting sent miniscule signals to our brain, instantly shifting it into holiday mode. As soon as we entered the lobby, friendly concierge staff assisted us with our luggage before guiding us to the check-in area. From superior and deluxe rooms to lavish suites with breathtaking views, the resort boasts 258 spacious guest rooms to choose from. All guest rooms and suites are well furnished, infused with a mixture of natural and modern elements. Woody brown tones highlight cream and khaki coloured walls adorned with delightful paintings and wall lamps, while facilities such as controlled air-conditioning, wireless internet and the LED flat screen television made us feel more at home as we relaxed in our room.
As lunchtime rolled around, we made our way to the 24-hour Lagenda Restaurant to savour a delicious buffet spread of local cuisine and desserts. Surrounded by luxuriant landscaped gardens and lush greenery, this coffeehouse is known for its nightly themed buffet dinners of Malay, Chinese, international and barbeque seafood dishes. Other dining options in the hotel include the Matahari Lobby Lounge offering live entertainment and specially created cocktails in the evening, the Tropical Beach & Snack Bar and the Pool Bar. The resort also boasts one of the largest swimming
pools in Malaysia complete with an open air jacuzzi, making swimming one of the top activities on our to-do-list for the day. In addition to that, the new LaVilla Poolclub & Restaurant is equipped with a brand new infinity pool, which offers amazing views of the beach.
The launch of the LaVilla Poolclub & Restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. Located between the main swimming pool and the beachfront, the poolclub is a blend of contemporary lifestyle, satisfying dining experiences and sophisticated nightlife, offering hotel guests or even non-staying patrons an opportunity to make the most of their stay at the legendary island of Langkawi. Designed with modern influences, it is ideal for weddings or other special occasions.
Unwinding on an extremely comfortable pool lounge chair while sipping on a cocktail, we were lost in the moment as we watched the majestic sunset paint the sky with shades of yellow and tangerine. The postcard-perfect view called for pictures and fortunately, the poolclub was the ideal spot for us to get the best snapshots.
Other amenities at the resort include a ladies indoor pool, three tennis courts, a fitness centre, a Mothers and Kiddies Fun Club, an internet room and the Amoaras Relaxation Spa. Using natural ingredients and a balance of traditional and modern techniques, the spa is the ultimate body pampering centre featuring a lounge, five treatment rooms, an aqua medic room and male and female steam and sauna rooms.
Perfect for private functions, the 4,000 sqft ballroom can accommodate up to 200 pax for banquets or conferences. There are also three separate rooms for meetings. For more leisure and less work, the resort can arrange water tours, island hopping, day and night fishing, scuba diving to Pulau Paya and Marina Park, island tours and car rental services.
Our stay at Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa was both eventful and relaxing at the same time. The combination of facilities, friendly staff and its surrounding beauty coupled with the new additions to the resort has instilled within us a newfound love for the place. As we boarded our complimentary shuttle to the airport and reminisce about the good times we had, we knew that we would definitely be making a second trip back.
