The soluTion: Let’s face it—most of us have coloured our hair at some points in our lives. But for some, they go one step further to bleach in order to get the unique shade desired, causing extreme damage to their precious crowning glory. Fret not as we have a saviour! And it comes in the form of the Pureology Colour Care treatment. We paid 8 Days salon a visit to give the treatment a try. After consulting with Daniel Seet, the senior stylist, he diagnosed the problem as rough, dull and brittle hair texture due to high level of chemicals used. In other words, the hair was just perfect for the treatment.
His assistant started the treatment by rinsing the hair with Pureology Precious Oils Shampoo which helps brittle colour-treated hair retain its natural shine and fullness while protecting the colour with ZeroSulfate. For the scalp, she used the Pureology Hydra shampoo which gently cleanses the scalp without stripping the colour while infusing the hair with essential hydration and colour retention. Next she mixed the Precious Oil Softening Hair Masque (this masque fortifies the hair cuticle to illuminate shine), Perfect 4 Platinum Miracle Filler treatment (a daily leave-in treatment that fills in gaps in the hair’s cuticle), Hydrate Shine Max (a weightless serum which delivers light nourishment and creates a soft, lustrous finish) and drops of Precious Oil Versatile Caring Oil (a versatile caring oil for exceptionally soft, radiant hair colour) into a mixing bowl. The mixture is then massaged onto the hair, ensuring that it is evenly distributed. After the treatment has set under a cooling steamer for 15 minutes, the hair is rinsed and styled, and additional drops of Perfect 4 Platinum Miracle Filler treatment was added onto the hair.
