After years of working with fascinating people combined with an interesting experience in a commercial photography agency, Louis Loo from De Views Production thought it was time for a change when he began his career as a wedding photographer in 2001.

With 13 years of experience in the industry, Louis has shot more than 500 weddings and he is a member of The Master Photographers Association (exclusively for professional wedding, portrait and commercial photographers). Empowered with the skills he had gained as a commercial photographer, his photography style incorporates creative elements together with the “unscripted stage” of capturing the natural, relaxed and magical moments of his clients. He believes that a couple should choose a photographer who not only meets their tastes and expectations but one who also has passion and a strong sense of responsibility. According to Louis, the key to becoming one of the top photographers is to believe in oneself and have continual interest in learning something new every day. Persistence is also important in achieving success.

When asked what are some of the essential moments that should be captured at a wedding, Louis highlights the church ceremony, when the bride’s father hands her over to the groom. The emotions of the parents are just as priceless as they witness their children whom they have raised with love, move on to a new chapter in their lives.
