Nestled inside the posh glossy black walls of the private room in Centro W Salon, we got to try out the new treatment, which began with an invigorating scalp wash with the Le Bain Revitalisant to cleanse scalp impurities and smoothen hair fibre. Once the hair is towelled dry, the Caviar Concentrate is mixed with the La Crème de Régénération hair masque and applied on the hair and scalp. Then, the specially trained hair stylist will perform a series of head massages that will not only relax the senses, but work with the masque to transform hair fibre and rejuvenate the scalp. When the masque is washed off, the hair stylist will give the hair a simple blow dry with no styling; the rejuvenated hair will fall perfectly into place, smooth and supple to the touch. The treatment is finished off with a touch of the lovely scented Le Parfum en Huile serum.

To achieve a flawless acne-free complexion before your pre-wedding photo session, a skin detox facial is the way to go. In search of the best detox facial, we decided to try one out at Energy Day Spa. We loved the spacious premises of the spa and the calming red date tea served before the start of the treatment. Another thoughtful gesture was tucking a bolster under our knees for better posture as we settled comfortably on the bed. Since one of us was suffering from a bad bout of breakouts, the beautician avoided using the usual scrub cleanser during the double cleansing process. She performed an allergy test on our neck before gently applying AHA onto the entire face and left it on for 10 minutes to exfoliate and detox the skin. The tingling sensation was minimal and we did not feel any discomfort. We loved the brief pressure point massage which used an oil that smelled wonderfully like a forest. Cleansing, toning, extracting and massaging were all done with the gentlest of touches and care. We could feel our face breathe anew after the treatment, with a more refined complexion that is baby soft to the touch. The skin remained supple the morning after, too.

After stimulating the body, the G5 cellutec machine is used to massage the lower body to eliminate toxins and fluid around the adipose clusters responsible for cellulite storage. Another machine is then used on the arms and upper body to stimulate the skin as the motorised palpating rolling action releases localised fats. Results can be seen after one session, however, clients are recommended the 10-session course for better results.

Having tried this treatment ourselves, we must admit that it is pretty exceptional. As we entered the luxurious spa, we were greeted by friendly staff and given a form to fill out so that we could customise the experience according to our desires. The treatment began with a Nepalese tea scrub made of bamboo powder, apricot oil and shea butter to remove dead skin cells while leaving skin hydrated. This was followed by a Fitness Refresh oil massage to release tension in the body. Lastly, our worries were caressed away as we experienced the hydrating facial using Ridokis massage tools. Just as that was done, we were lulled into a deep sleep with a relaxing Shiatsu massage.
