As the days go by, our love is inscribed into the fabrics of our deoxyribonucleic acid. It’s funny, rather surprising and amazing how the past few months of marriage, falling short of just a year, have brought me closer to you than the last decade of our courtship. Today, I truly understand what being a family is all about.

I see you more than just the beautiful girl I met in Sri Cempaka, rather you are my best friend, my partner in crime, my solace, my today and my tomorrow.

Sometimes I ask myself, what is a marriage? And more often than not, the tune that rings in me is that marriage is knowing and showing and mutually growing, it’s enduring, confessing and nightly undressing, it’s liking, respecting and calmly accepting, it’s comfort when weeping, snuggling and sleeping, but most of all, it’s lives interweaving and always believing.

I want you to know that I’ll always stand by your side and treat you right, as the Queen that you are. Although nothing is assured in life, let me take this chance to give you this assurance. My love for you will never fade even in the coldest winter, my heart will soar for you like the brightest summer, and even when the seasons change, and our grey matter fades, you’ll always be my forever lover.
