Ong Jian Win had to work very hard to win the love of the woman of his dreams, Pei Lu Lim, who finally said yes to his marriage proposal

From the moment Ong Jian Win first laid eyes on Pei Lu Lim in 2013, when they were introduced by mutual friends, he knew she was the one. It took patience on his part, before the fresh-faced beauty that stole his heart grew to return his romantic feelings after years of being best friends. They fell even more in love as they travelled together overseas, encountering strange places and having many adventures together; finally realising that they have found a soulmate in each other. It was little surprise that Jian Win would pop the question to the girl of his dreams early this year, and when she said yes, he admitted that he was the happiest man alive—looking forward to cherishing her for the rest of their lives. The popular couple’s wedding dinner reception at The Majestic Hotel KL was a grand affair. The groom’s parents, Ong Leng Chun and Goey Siew Lee, were beaming from ear to ear as they welcomed every arriving guest at the cocktail foyer. They were joined later by the bride’s parents, Lim Chong Khim and Irene Lim. The bridegroom himself stood proudly at the entrance of the cocktail area, inviting friends from near and far to pose with him at the elaborate photo wall decorated with lush blooms and the couple’s names in elegant cursive letters. Pei Lu chose the theme of purple romance for the wedding after her favourite colour and her love for fairy tales. The extravagant floral decorations by The Wishing Tree continued in the interiors of the grand ballroom where the low lighting and candles reflected the spirit of romance. There was a sense of anticipation in the air as everyone waited for the evening to start.
