Jaeger-lecoul­tre takes a step back in time while be­ing armed with new ideas

The world of JaegerLecoul­tre just got big­ger with the in­tro­duc­tion of the brand’s Po­laris col­lec­tion. Gal­vanised by the Me­movox Po­laris of 1968, one of the mai­son’s rarest vin­tage watches—with only 1,714 mod­els ever re­leased—jaegerLecoul­tre saw SIHH as an op­por­tu­nity to un­veil an en­tire men’s col­lec­tion that is in­spired by the icon. Trape­zoidal hour mark­ers and an un­der­wa­ter alarm are two sig­na­ture traits of the sporty watch. VIPS who scored a hot ticket to o the launch party in­cluded Bo­ran Jing, Diego Luna, El­lie Bam­ber, Sunny Wang, Joseph Chang, and of course Bene­dict Cum­ber­batch, the e brand’s new­est am­bas­sador—cho­sen sen for his em­bod­i­ment of ele­gance and nd sports­man­ship. French pro­ducer and DJ Break­bot got the crowd groov­ing ing while mixol­o­gist Colin Field, named ed ‘best bar­tender in the world’ by Forbes and Travel + Leisure, kept the crowd well-wa­tered at the launch.
