Music to His Ears
A seasoned veteran in the watch industry but a fresh face at Corum, CEO is ever enthusiastic about the brand’s collaborations, which also birthed the Corum Golden Bridge Rectangle Joachim Horsley
Word goes round that you value your privacy! So thank you for agreeing to this tête-à-tête with Malaysia Tatler.
No problem. It’s my pleasure.
What have you been largely preoccupied with since becoming CEO of Corum in September 2017?
My time is split in two: fulfilling my role as manager, which involves looking at the company’s key figures to ensure long-term profitability, and overseeing distribution policy, which necessitates finding the right answers for the current market. I’ve been trying to enforce very clear identities for Corum’s different product families to make things simpler for the consumer.
Do you mean drawing clear-cut distinctions between Corum’s pillars? The Bridge, Admiral, Heritage and Bubble?
Yes. I would like for there to be an easy way to imagine the face of each product. For instance, the Bubble should always be synonymous with the idea of crazy creativity. There should always be very clear themes per collection. Corum’s products do not look anything at all like those of other brands— this is our strongest asset.
