Success to a T

This issue is action-packed with inspirational stories on entrepreneurship, leadership, and success, as we put the spotlight on the many young talents determined to put their stamp in their respective fields. In 2016 Asia Tatler introduced Generation T, a platform that recognises dynamic trailblazing entrepreneurs and creatives aged below 40 not beholden to blood or legacy. Our objective was to give these promising young leaders the visibility they need to grow, as well as nurture this next generation of society pillars by connecting them with others who can help them advance professionally via exclusive events, experiences and partnerships. Every year, we go through a rigorous vetting process to select individuals who will be on the list. For the past two years, we have only focused on local talent but for Gen.t List 2019, we decided to utilise our Southeast Asian network and compile a larger list comprising 400 Gen.t honourees from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia. On the cover to represent the 30 Malaysian honourees are these five—abhi Veerakumarasivam (Science & Mathematics), Mohd Azizulhasni Awang (Sports), Renard Siew (Environment), Ivanna Salehudin (Health & Wellness) and Eric Cheng (Technology). They join our everexpanding community of extraordinary people shaping Asia’s future, and you can be sure that we’ll be documenting their journey in our magazine and Gen.t website. We also delve into the inner workings of Endeavor, a global organisation that aims to grow a network of entrepreneurs (page 132). Meanwhile, Genting Group’s Loui Lim is making waves with how he is modernising the luxury cruise experience (page 144).
