BAGGING IT ALL
Go-getter Valerie Ong has undergone a metamorphosis in the past decade. Here, the multifaceted lady shows us what she is made of, while modelling the latest Louis Vuitton Exotic leather collection.
In 10 years, Valerie Ong has evolved as a corporate leader, a businesswoman and as a person. Having taken on more corporate governance responsibilities from her father Dato’ Eric Ong, she is conscious about the impact of her decisions as the Group CEO of KIP Group of Companies. “2018 was a tough year because we had to work hard on necessary corporate restructuring within the company. This year, we have been enjoying the outcome of this,” she says. Also a big believer in working and playing hard, Valerie is now focusing on improving her fitness. “I have neglected myself for way too long and it’s time to put more effort into self-love. I am hoping I can strike a better balance between work, family, love and nurturing my own passions,” she expressed. But that doesn’t mean that she is going to take it slow; Valerie has her own business investment portfolios that include F&B and fashion, among others. This connoisseur of wines and spirits is also pursuing a higher certificate in this field. It can be a handful to juggle everything but Valerie is keeping balance for now, while dressed impeccably to boot. “If you want to be successful and competent, dress the part. Keep it simple and keep it clean. However, it’s not just about the clothes, you must carry yourself with confidence,” she says. Judging by how she rocks the latest Louis Vuitton Exotic leather collection in the next few pages, she certainly walks the talk. A Louis Vuitton exotic leather bag is unlike any other handbag, going through an intricate selection and construction process involving many pairs of skilled hands, before it’s finally ready to show itself to the world— in the arms of a woman like Valerie.
