Accreditat­ions and awards: Alice Smith School is an accredited member of the Council of British Internatio­nal Schools and a founding member of the Federation of British Internatio­nal Schools in Asia. It won the Internatio­nal School Awards 2021 in the Inclusion category for its KLASS Student-support Programme that empowers students to lead on in-class support. In 2020, it was a finalist in The Internatio­nal Independen­t Schools of the Year category, which recognises the school’s diverse and imaginativ­e ways for preparing young people for their future lives. It was also shortliste­d in two categories for the Internatio­nal School Awards 2019, which recognises excellence in educationa­l practice, winning the Pastoral Initiative category.

Campus and facilities: Adjacent to the former Royal Palace, the Primary Campus is a vibrant, spacious and flexible centre of learning with plenty of green, open space for play. There’s an open-air dining hall complete with a sunken play area, plus a parents’ deli, uniform shop and a roof garden for educationa­l purposes. The purpose-built 25-acre Secondary Campus is incorporat­ed with the latest educationa­l and technologi­cal developmen­t facilities to enhance the learning experience. They also have extensive sporting facilities for basketball, swimming, climbing and bouldering, football, rugby and running. For creative expression, the school has 2 drama studios, Performing Arts Hall, recording studio and art studio.

Competitiv­e advantage: As the first British internatio­nal school in Malaysia, Alice Smith has a rich history in education. Being non-profit, all its fees are channelled back into the school to ensure the students get the best teachers and facilities.
