Charterhouse Malaysia, the sister school of one of the original seven prestigious British public schools, is backed by 400 years of education excellence. It ensures students achieve strong academic performance, developing critical life skills and broader human intelligences along the way, to successfully pave the way for its graduates to become first choice applicants to the best universities in the world and following that, thriving careers in the top organisations globally as well as in fields like politics, the arts, sports and philanthropy.

An international sixth form college, Charterhouse Malaysia offers deliberately and carefully designed A-level and IGCSE programmes that are focused in equipping students with the knowledge and skills to cultivate a ‘future ready’ mindset and become successful leaders who can seamlessly adapt to a fast-changing and globalised world. Its curriculum strongly emphasises on independent study and research assignments, which strengthens university applications. It also helps students develop important skills like critical thinking and nurtures personal values and attributes such as honesty, resilience, empathy and respect for others. Taught in small classes with a maximum of 12 students per class for A-levels and 18 for IGCSE, the programmes are delivered by expert IGCSE and A-level subject specialists, experienced university and career guidance counsellors, and personal development coaches who provide structured mentorship to students, ensuring they are appropriately guided, challenged and supported.

As part of its curriculum, students can learn to apply Design Thinking, a human-centred, creative problem-solving approach widely used by scientists, inventors and innovators to tackle problems as well

as to develop the full breadth of human intelligences through an intelligence-based programme called Spectra Smarts, a unique approach that draws on ancient wisdom to develop social intelligence (people), metacognitive intelligence (thinking) and metacontextual intelligence (situations).

At Charterhouse Malaysia, learning is also not restricted to traditional curriculum, the classroom and even the campus as it empowers students to take on as many opportunities available to achieve their fullest potential. With its emphasis on service, entrepreneurial learning and the local community, the school encourages its students to apply their knowledge and skills to solve real world problems in the communities they live in and be the driving force of innovation and progress. This helps the students to nurture their sense of service, confidence in their ability to affect change and develop into an overall compassionate and thoughtful member of society.

Through their journey at Charterhouse Malaysia, students will complete a Charterhouse Learner’s Portfolio (CLP) to chart their intellectual, ethical and spiritual growth. To complete the CLP, students will need to engage in real, purposeful activities, undertake personal challenges as well as reflect on outcomes and personal learning and more. The CLP will train students to become reflective thinkers, to accept new challenges and roles, and become more aware of their place and responsibility as a member of a community and to find balance in life.
